It seems the library is experiencing a major growth spurt. In the past two years, we have had an 88% increase in library traffic. Thank you. On a normal day two years ago, we may have had 1,500 patrons in a single day. During this week, we have surpassed 4,000 patrons on Tuesday and Wednesday and came pretty close on Monday. I love the fact that the library is open on Sundays!! Please don't change that!!

Many students beleive that this is an achedmic library and needs to uphold to such standards. It is necessary to have a place to study on weekends. Half a day friday, closed saturday, and half a day sunday does not sustain the need for more hours. WE NEED more hours. The library would be used if it was open on weekends! We have no where to go.

Kathryn - I agree with you 100% and will continue to advocate for more hours in the library. We are grateful to the Friends of the Luria Library for their generous support and hope they will continue to provide the funding in the future.

I agree with my fellow peers; we need more hours on the weekends. Saturday hours would be great and the hours on Sundays work great. Maybe have the library open Sat mornings for those who want to get in some book time before enjoying yourself at night. UCSB provides a 24hr study place and I think SBCC should offer something similar (maybe not 24hrs but close) :)
