Appetizing to both mouth and mind
What’s more fun than reading literature? Try…eating literature! At the Luria Library we feel that playing with our food, if for the right reasons, is food for thought. If you agree, you will enjoy:
The 5th Luria Library Edible Book Festival!
Join us so we may eat our words, stanzas, quotes, ideas…you get the idea! This is just the event for SBCC students, faculty, and staff who like to show culinary talents or artistic abilities, or just come to see and eat these creations.
Paying homage to the author Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, who wrote the famous Physiologie du goût (in English The Physiology of Taste), this is an international activity that celebrates food, books, and creative culture.
The Luria Library will hold our version on April 1, 2014 (not for April Fool’s, but the actual birthday of Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin).
