Undocumented Student Resources
For Undocumented Student Week of Action (October 14-18, 2019), the Luria Library would like to remind everyone where you can find resources for undocumented students at SBCC.
- Check out our guide, Undocumented – Resources For and About, which provides information for and about undocumented students, as well as links to related support, scholarships, legal resources, and frequently asked questions (FAQ).
- Visit the library’s book display on the main floor for recommended reads (many also listed in our guide).
- Go to an event organized by Santa Barbara City College in support of Undocumented Student Week of Action. There are events for students as well as faculty and staff (look at the flyers below!).
In addition to the events below, MEChA & The Legal Defense Center will host a Know Your Rights Workshop at Luria Library on Thursday, October 17, in the Library Classroom (L146) at 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
What is Undocumented Week of Action?
The Undocumented Student Week of Action is a system-wide campaign to advocate and provide support and resources for our undocumented student population. During the week, California’s community colleges are encouraged to engage in advocacy and support efforts in solidarity with undocumented students throughout the state.
