Instructions for finding magazine articles

Click on Databases and Other Electronic Resources

The first section is titled "Find Articles"

Click on Academic Search Premier

5. LOOK at the screen and find the line that says FULL TEXT.

6. Click in that box. A check mark will appear.

7. Scroll down until you see the words NUMBER OF PAGES. To be certain that your article is long enough, change the drop down boxes so that you see this:

Number Of Pages

8. Type your topic in the boxes provided. Remember to put one word or phrase in each box.

9. When your results list appear, look at the line 1-20 of 108 Page: 1 2 3 4 5 Next Sort by: Add (1-20)

10. Click on MAGAZINES.

11. Read and EVALUATE the article titles carefully. If you do not like any on our

    first results on the first screen, go to the next screen.

12. Click on the title of the article that interests you.

13. Read the article. If it is one that you like and is relevant, email it to yourself or

     print it out.
